CU-SeeMe: The first videoconferencing for Apples on the Internet was CU-SeeMe. CU-SeeMe is an internet video-conferencing client written by Tim Dorcey and students at Cornell University. It was first developed for the Macintosh in 1992. The company has been sold several times, and filed for bankruptcy. However, There is still a small but active community of users who continue to use CU-SeeMe. Although there had been no releases of software from the various incarnations since 2000, there are freeware alternatives available for both Windows and Macintosh platforms.

VChat is a CU-Seeme video conferencing client for use with the Apple MacOS X operating system. With VChat you can participate in videoconferences by connecting to a CU-SeeMe reflector, or you can also have one-on-one conferencing. It is Freeware, and the system requirements are Mac OS X 10.2.5 or higher. The download file size is 1.7 MB.

B.S.N.L BROADBAND USEFUL TIPS

I Know most of our Indian users have BSNL broadband home plans with 2:00 AM to 8:00 AM night download free.But you have to stay awake until 2.00 AM !! in the morning to schedule your big downloads !!!

Here is a tool which I have used and suggesting for all the users who use night (early morning) unlimited plans ,This will actually schedule your downloads,You need to install this software and keep your PC in standby mode and go to SLEEP !

Ok now follow these steps,

1. Download "Imran's Broadband Helper Utility" from Imrans Website .

2. Install the software.

3. Goto "C:\Program Files\Broadband" folder and run Autoconfig.exe and click on Start button.. its output will look like :-

1. Click on save button (it will save the script as test.script in the same folder).
2. Rename the file test.script to Broadband.script (delete old Broadband.script file).
3. Run Broadband.exe (it will come in system tray).
4. Goto the modem tab.
5. Click on Test button (after a few seconds you will see DONE/FAIL)
6. If you see DONE then.. just configure the times at which you want reboots (don't forgot to check "use modem reboot service").
7. Schedule a reboot after two minutes and notice the result.
8. Check the log file after reboot.

Now the configuration for the software :

Under NIC Tab.

* Enable NIC at 02:010
* Disable NIC at 07:50
* Use NIC Enable/Disable service.


Under Modem Tab.

* Reboots at 02:03, 02:10, 02:15, 07:55... (Set by default ,you can add your own timings)
* Use Modem Reboot service.
* Sound on....


Under Connectivity Tab.

* Use connectivity service....


Under Misc Tab.

* Shutdown during 07:00-07:55 (checked)
* Launch uTorrent at 02:16.


Lastly.. before going to sleep click on "Disable NIC Now" under NIC tab.

MAC-OS MAPPING TIPS

Hi friends hope you all have a great day ahead!!! Wanna to know more useful tips in mac-OS. There i have found the tips for Six topics indicated below,

Sidebar Customization in Windows: Show the sidebar with the image library, adornments, notes etc by clicking on the relevant icon at the bottom right of the window. Resize the width to your preference. Hide it away by clicking the X in the top right corner of the panel.
I also found the tips for,
Palette Options on Mac: Drag the palettes to reorder them, minimize them using the “-” button, flip them using the arrow icon at the top right of the palette to see the advanced options. In the Pro and Platinum editions, drag them off to become floating windows, stack them to connect them as a single floating window, click the “x” button to close the floating palette and return it to the palette panel. Hide the palette panel completely by using the minimize triangle at the top of the palettes panel.
I also found the tips for, Mac Toolbar
Mac Toolbar: Hide the toolbar by clicking the lozenge shaped button at the top right of the window. Click it again to show the toolbar.
I also found the tips for, Template Chooser
Template Chooser: If you don’t want to see the template chooser when starting NovaMind, you can turn it off in the Preferences. You can still create a Mind Map from a template by using the “File / New From Template” option.
I also found the tips for, More Images
More Images: If you have not downloaded the image libraries, go to the supporting files page for Windows or Mac and download and install them. The image libraries will give you a huge selection of images (1,400 for Express and Pro, and 2,300 for Platinum) that you can just drag on to your Mind Map.
I also found the tips for, Create your own Templates
Create your own Templates: (Pro and Platinum) Save your Mind Maps as Templates so you can easily reuse them - they will then show up in the template chooser when you create a new Mind Map from a template.
